Cabin in the woods Concept Art- Shot 03

This is a concept that I've created for a friends project. He his currently creating a cabin in the woods 3D game environment and he asked if I could help design the cabin architecture and story for the scene.

The main idea that he wanted to create was that the mother recently passed away and it's now only the father and daughter living here. With this in mind, for this image, I tried my best to create personality in the room and how the character is dealing with the mothers passing. It's quite subtle but I have added a letter and mothers belongings in the left of the scene. Then I thought it would help to add an hobby to the character, in this case, painting and I've made it so the character is painting a portrait of the mother.

I will add more designs and sketches that I created for the project to a blog post on my profile.
